tiny unlabel is a trans-local micro-publisher based in glasgow, berlin & rotterdam, & run by kevin leomo, ángeles rojas & levin eric zimmermann. working between words, images, & sounds, we create collaborative situations through small-scale publications, including tiny books & cds, as well as workshops, concerts, & exhibitions.
our practice explores tininess as both a question of scale & an artistic & political position. we are interested in what becomes possible when we work with limited means & resist the competitive pressure to grow, accelerate, & produce continuously. working on a small scale is a strategy for sustaining our practice, & continuing to make things in a world of finite resources.
we are a tiny group of friends making tiny things.
with our tiny hands, we make tiny books & tiny cds.
we work with tiny means, improvising as we go, taking time to rest when needed.
we are almost a music label, but we are not.
we exist in the space between words, images, & sounds.

we invite artists working across sound, visual art, & writing to share their own reflections on tininess. we also see tiny unlabel as a site for building radical friendship: a space for sharing, spending time together, & staying with the tremble of difference rather than erasing it. for us, friendship is not based on sameness or constant agreement, but on affection, trust, & the willingness to move through differences together.
